| To fulfill its commitment to the Tahoe Basin's Environmental Improvement Program, Caltrans has planned improvement projects that will affect every mile of State highway in the Tahoe Basin (see map). These projects will help Caltrans manage storm water and improve water quality along the State Highway system. Most projects are funded through the State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP) and the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). |
