Shingle Springs Interchange Project on Highway 50 in El Dorado County

Caltrans has approved the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (EIR), which addresses two additional alternatives and provides supplemental air quality information and analysis. The two new alternatives address alternative land use plans on the Shingle Springs Rancheria, which would be serviced by the new interchange.
The proposed Shingle Springs Interchange would provide a direct connection between the Shingle Springs Rancheria and U.S. Highway 50 in El Dorado County. The new facility would be located between the existing Shingle Springs Drive Interchange and Greenstone Road Interchange. The interchange would be a “fly-over” type facility consisting of one lane in each direction connected to on and off-ramps in both the east and westbound directions. The sole purpose of the privately funded interchange is to provide open access to the Shingle Springs Rancheria.
The Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Report is available for public review by visiting the project web site at http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist3/projects/shingle/documents.htm
