Work
is scheduled to begin Thursday, May 22, 2008 and will occur during the daytime
until June 15. Nighttime work will begin
on June 15, and will continue until Labor Day at which time, daytime work will
resume. Motorists can expect one-way
traffic control and various lane closures.
Pedestrians
and cyclists using the bike path in the vicinity of the project limits should
also be aware work will be taking place between the pathway and the
highway. Pedestrians and cyclists should
contact the Tahoe Public Utilities District for information about impacts to
the bike path.
Additionally,
beginning Monday, May 12, utility companies will begin work to relocate utility
facilities at various locations on State Highway 28 between
Motorists, pedestrians and
cyclists can expect delays and are advised to use caution when traveling
through the work area, and to “Slow For the Cone Zone”.
