24 Hour Lane Closure on Interstate 80 Near Boca Dam

Boca Dam - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists the #1 eastbound lane on Interstate 80 near Boca Dam will be closed 24 hours per day starting at 6:00 a.m. Monday, May 5 through noon Friday, May 16. The lane closure will be removed at noon Friday, May 9 for the weekend and start again at 6:00 a.m. Monday, May 12 through noon Friday, May 16. The freeway will remain open each weekend.

The lane closures are part of a $730,000 safety project to replace guardrail with a median concrete barrier.

Motorists can expect minimal delays and are advised to use caution when traveling through the work area, and to “Slow For the Cone Zone”.
