Oroville- The
California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is advising motorists that
State Highway 191 (Clark Road) from the intersection of State Highway 70 to the
Durham Pentz intersection will be closed from 6:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3rd to
10:00 p.m. Friday, April 4th. The
closure is necessary to begin construction on the new intersection of State
Highways 70 and 191. Local residents
will have access to and from their property and a detour will be available
during the closure.
The work occurring on State
Highway 191 is part of a $105 million project to make State Highway 149 a
four-lane expressway with freeway-to-freeway interchanges at the intersections
of State Highways 70/149 and State Highways 99/149. This project also includes improvement to the State Highway
70/191 intersection. Completion is
expected in 2009.
Unexpected weather or
equipment problems may prolong or cause the work to be rescheduled. Motorists are advised to use caution when
traveling through the work area and to “Slow For the Cone Zone”.
