RAMP METERS TO BE ACTIVATED AT HAZEL AVENUE AND US HIGHWAY 50 IN SACRAMENTO

SACRAMENTO - Commuters using the Southbound and Northbound Hazel Avenue on-ramps to board Eastbound US Highway 50 will be subject to ramp metering from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Monday, June 13.

Ramp metering allows vehicles to safely merge with freeway traffic and at the same time helps to reduce traffic congestion. Currently, there are 75 ramp meters in operation in the Sacramento area.
