PAVING PROJECT TO BEGIN ON I-80 IN WEST SACRAMENTO

 

SACRAMENTO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is scheduled to begin a new paving project Monday, May 9th at 9 p.m. on Interstate 80 between the East end of the Yolo Causeway to Enterprise Blvd. in West Sacramento. Work crews will have various lane and ramp closures East bound and West bound Interstate 80 Monday through Friday from 9 p.m. to approximately 5 a.m. This 7.7 million dollar project is expected to be completed by October.

Changeable message signs will be placed in advance of the construction zone alerting motorists of lane and ramp closures.

Caltrans and the CHP urge the motoring public to use caution, be patient and to PLEASE "Slow for the Cone Zone."
