ELKHORN SAFETY ROADSIDE REST AREA TO REOPEN
SACRAMENTO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is scheduled to reopen the Elkhorn Safety Roadside Rest Area (SRRA) on Interstate 5, one mile north of the Sacramento International Airport on Monday, March 7th at 9 a.m.
The rest area had been closed since September to upgrade security, signs and septic system.
Approximately 1.3 million motorists utilize the Elkhorn Rest Area annually. Currently there are 88 rest areas throughout the state of California.
