SACRAMENTO - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced today the L Street connector ramp to Capitol Mall (State Route 275) is scheduled for closure on January 26.

The ramp is being closed to facilitate Caltrans' transfer of ownership of a 1.1-acre lot that was deemed excess property and sold. The parcel, located near the corner of 3^rd Street and Capitol Mall, was sold at a public auction on September 30, 2004. Separovich Domich Development Inc., in partnership with Ravel Rasmussen Properties, turned in the winning bid of $3.45 million.

Caltrans will also place corrective signage and traffic lanes and signals in the area will be modified to reflect the change.
