FESTIVAL EXPECTED TO DELAY TRAFFIC
Isleton
- The California Department of Transportation is advising motorists to
expect moderate traffic delays on State Route 12 between I-80 and I-5 and
lengthy traffic delays of more than one hour on Route 160 near Isleton, as more
than 100,000 are expected to attend the annual Crawdad Festival this
weekend. Starting Friday June 18, the
Festival opens at 10:00 a.m. The
Festival will close at 10:00 p.m., on Friday and Saturday night and at 6:00
p.m., on Sunday night.
Changeable Message Signs, will
advise motorists and direct Festival traffic along the Sacramento and San
Joaquin County segments of Interstate 5 and in both directions of State Route
12 in Sacramento and Solano Counties.
Additional Festival signs will be in place to direct attendee’s to
parking facilities on Route 160 and Jackson Slough Road.
Festival
traffic from I-5 will be directed to westbound Route 12 and west on SR 12 to
and right onto Jackson Slough Road.
Traffic from eastbound Route 12 will be directed to turn left onto
northbound Route 160 at the 12/160 intersection near Rio Vista. Festival traffic on northbound Route 160,
north of the 12/160 intersection and southbound Route 160, south of the City of
Walnut Grove should be prepared to stop and to be directed by Festival
flag-persons to parking facilities.
Shuttle buses will provide travel between the parking areas and the
Festival.
Motorists are advised to use
alternate Routes when possible and and to use caution when traveling through
the area.
