LONG TERM PROJECTS

 

Interstate 5 (Sacramento County): Work is underway on a $20 million project to improve the pavement on Interstate 5 between State Route 160 to P Street in Sacramento.  Completion is expected in 2009.

 

May 12-16

On Interstate 5 from Beach Lake to the American River Bridge:  Motorists can expect various north and southbound lanes closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (7 a.m. Saturday) Monday through Friday nights.  A contractor is scheduled to do paving. 

 

May 11

On Interstate 5 at Sutterville Road:  Motorists can expect full ramp closures from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.  A contractor is scheduled to do paving.

 

Interstate 80 (Placer County): Work is underway on a $25 million project by Caltrans, Placer County, the City of Rocklin and the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency to rebuild and modernize the I-80 interchange at Sierra College Boulevard.  The project will upgrade the overcrossing to five lanes, bike lanes, sidewalks and increase vertical clearance.  Completion is expected in 2008. 

 

May 12 - 15

On Interstate 80 at Sierra College Blvd:  Motorists can expect various east and westbound lane closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights.    A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous construction work.

          

State Route 99 (Sacramento County): Work is underway on a $24 million project to improve the Grant Line Road Interchange in the City of Elk Grove.  Completion is expected in the summer of 2008. 

 

May 12 - 16

On Interstate 80 from Grant Line Road to Elk Grove Blvd:  Motorists can expect various north and southbound lane closures from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday nights.    A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous construction work.

On Interstate 80 from Grant Line Road to Elk Grove Blvd:  Motorists can expect full highway closure from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday nights.    A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous construction work.

 

 

State Route 99 (Sacramento County): Work is underway on a $26.1 million project to improve the Sheldon Road Interchange in the City of Elk Grove.  Completion is expected in the summer of 2008.  No traffic interfering work is scheduled.

 

 

 

SHORT-TERM PROJECTS

 

Interstate 5 (Sacramento County) from Q Street to J Street: Motorists can expect various north and southbound lanes closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. (7 a.m. Saturday) Monday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous construction work.

 

Interstate 5 (Sacramento County) from Beach Lake to Landpark:  Motorists can expect the north and southbound #4 lane closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. (7 a.m. Saturday) Monday through Friday.   A contractor is scheduled to install guardrail.

 

Interstate 5 (Sacramento County) at P Street:  Motorists can expect the southbound on-ramp closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday nights.  A contractor is scheduled to do survey work.

 

Interstate 5 (Sacramento County) at U.S. Highway 50:  Motorists can expect the southbound off-ramp to U.S. Highway 50 closed from midnight to 5 a.m. Monday through Saturday.  A contractor is scheduled to do survey work.

 

Interstate 5 (Yolo County) from Brentona Creek to Oat Creek: Motorists can expect the northbound #2 lane and right shoulder closed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.  A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do slab repairs.

 

Interstate 5 (Yolo County) from State Route 505 to Dunnigan:  Motorists can expect various southbound lane closures and a partial ramp closures from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to paving.

 

State Route 16 (Yolo County) from County Road 40A to County Road 18 (aka County Road 97A): Motorists can expect intermittent one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to do utility work and trim trees.

 

State Route 16 (Yolo County) from First Street to Interstate 5: Motorists can expect east and westbound right shoulders closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to do utility work.

 

State Route 16 (Yolo County) from Murieta Parkway to Cosumnes River: Motorists can expect one-way traffic controls from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.  A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do shoulder work.

 

State Route 16 (Yolo County) at County Road 85: Motorists can expect east and westbound right shoulders closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  A contractor is scheduled to construct sidewalks.

 

State Route 16 (Yolo County) at Fremont Avenue: Motorists can expect east and westbound right shoulders closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to do utility work.

 

U.S. Highway 50  (Yolo and Sacramento Counties) from Harbor Blvd to Mather Field:  Motorists can expect the eastbound #4 lane closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday nights.  A contractor crew is scheduled to install guardrail.

 

U.S. Highway 50  (Sacramento County) at 48th Street:  Motorists can expect various westbound lane and ramp closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday and Monday nights.  A contractor crew is scheduled to electrical work.

 

U.S. Highway 50  (Sacramento County) from Folsom Blvd to Hornet Drive:  Motorists can expect partial eastbound ramp closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday through Friday nights.  A contractor crew is scheduled to electrical work.

 

U.S. Highway 50  (Sacramento County) from Fair Oaks to Sunrise Blvd:  Motorists can expect various westbound lane closures from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.  A Caltrans crew is scheduled to pothole work.

 

U.S. Highway 50  (Sacramento County) at East Bidwell/Scott Road:  Motorists can expect various eastbound lane closures from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights.  A contractor crew is scheduled to drainage work.

 

U.S. Highway 50  (Yolo County) at Harbor Blvd:  Motorists can expect partial westbound ramp closures from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday nights.  A contractor crew is scheduled to utility work.

 

State Route 51 (AKA Capital City Freeway) (Sacramento County) from Oak Park to Watt Ave.:  Motorists can expect the north and southbound #4 lane closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.  (9 a.m. Saturday) Monday through Saturday.  A contractor crew is scheduled to install guardrail.

 

State Route 51 (AKA Capital City Freeway) (Sacramento County) from H Street to State Route 160:  Motorists can expect various north and southbound lane closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Saturday.  A contractor crew is scheduled to do median repair work.

 

State Route 65 (Placer County) at Pleasant Grove Blvd:  Motorists can expect the northbound #2 lane closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights.  A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous construction work. 

 

Interstate 80 (Sacramento County) from the Sacramento River to Auburn Blvd/Riverside Avenue:  Motorists can expect the west eastbound #4 lane closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to install guardrail.

 

Interstate 80 (Sacramento County) at Madison Avenue: Motorists can expect partial eastbound off-ramp closures from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.  A contractor is scheduled for permit work.

 

Interstate 80 (Yolo County) at the Yolo Causeway: Motorists can expect various eastbound lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday.  A contractor is scheduled for electrical work.

 

Interstate 80 (Yolo County) from U.S Highway 50 to Lake Washington:  Motorists can expect various eastbound lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday.  A contractor is scheduled for electrical work.

 

State Route 99 (Sacramento County) at the Consumnes River Overflow: Motorist can expect the #2 northbound lane closed from 8 p.m. to midnight on Thursday.  A contractor is scheduled to do grinding work.

 

State Route 99 (Sacramento County) from 21st Avenue to the U.S. Highway 50/Capitol City Freeway interchange: Motorists can expect the northbound #4 lane closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to install guardrail.

 

State Route 99 (Sacramento County) at Florin Road:  Motorists can expect the northbound on-ramp closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights.  A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do paving.

 

State Route 99 (Sacramento County) at Broadway:  Motorists can expect the southbound on-ramp closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday nights.  A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do paving.

 

State Route 99 (Sacramento County) from 2nd Avenue to 5th Avenue:  Motorists can expect the southbound #2 lane closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday nights.  A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do paving.

 

State Route 160 (Sacramento County) from the Sacramento City limit to State Route 51 (AKA the Capitol City Freeway):  Motorists can expect the northbound #2 lane closed from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to install guardrail.

Lanes are numbered from the center divide (#1) to the shoulder (#2, 3, 4, etc.).
