LONG TERM PROJECTS

State Route 70 (Yuba County):  Work continues on this $17.8 Million project to construct a new interchange at Plumas Lake Blvd just south of Algodon Road.  Completion is expected in 2008.  

            May 4-May 11

State Route 70 (Yuba County) from Feather River Boulevard to Plumas Arboga Road:  Motorists can expect intermittent restrictions of the #1 north/southbound lanes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday through Friday (12 p.m. Saturday and Sunday).  A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous construction work.

State Route 70 (Sutter County) Work begins on this $82 Million project to create a four-lane corridor between Sacramento to Marysville.  Completion is expected in 2010.  

April 28 - October 15

State Route 70 (Sutter County) Access to the eastbound lane from Striplin Road, Marcum Road and Cornelius Road will be closed from midnight April 28 through October 15.  Detours will be clearly posted.  A contractor is scheduled to do grinding and paving. 

State Route 99 (Sutter County) Work continues on this $14.7 Million project to improve the operation of the highway by adding right and left turn pockets, expanding the paved shoulders to eight feet and replacing the pavement from Smith Road to just south of Queens Avenue.  Completion is expected in May 2008.

May 4- May 10

State Route 20 (Sutter County) between Stafford Way and Civic Center Boulevard: Motorists can expect intermittent eastbound and westbound #2 lane closures from Sunday through Saturday.  A contractor is scheduled to do grinding and paving.

State Route 99 (Sutter County) from Smith Road to Queens Avenue:  Motorists can expect north and southbound #2 lanes closures from Sunday through Saturday.  A contractor is scheduled to do grinding and paving.

State Route 149 (Butte County): Work continues on this $105 Million project to make this highway a four-lane expressway with freeway to freeway interchanges at the intersections of Highways 70/149 and Highways 99/149.  Completion is expected in 2009.

May 5 – May 9

State Route 70 (Butte County) between Campbell Creek and the Junction of State Route 149: Motorists can expect various lane restrictions from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to do paving.

State Route 99 (Butte County) Between the Junction of State Routes 99/149 and Catfish Lane.  Motorists can expect intermittent traffic control between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.   A contractor is scheduled to do paving.

May 5 – May 9

State Route 149 (Butte County) between End Bridge and the Junction of State Route 99: Motorists can expect various lane restrictions between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  A contractor is scheduled to do paving.

 

SHORT TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 5 (Colusa County) from Harrington Road to E Street: Motorists can expect various lane closures Monday through Saturday.  A contractor will be doing bridge repair. 

State Route 20 (Colusa County) Near the Route 16 Junction:  Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday (6 a.m. – 12 p.m. Friday).  A contractor will be doing slide removal.

State Route 20 (Colusa County) Red Mud: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  Caltrans crews will be grinding and paving.

State Route 20 (Sutter County) at Plumas Street:  Motorists can expect the left turn lane westbound and the right turn eastbound lanes closed. A contractor is doing permit work.  Plumas Street is scheduled to reopen October 31.

State Route 20 (Yuba County) from Loma Rica Road to Spring Valley Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  A Caltrans crew is scheduled to do grinding and paving.

State Route 45 (Yolo and Colusa Counties) from County Road 108 to the Glenn County Line:  Motorists can expect intermittent one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.   A contractor is scheduled to do miscellaneous work.

State Route 70 (Butte County) Garden Drive: Motorists can expect east/westbound lane restrictions Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  A contractor is scheduled to do overhead utility work.

State Route 99 (Butte County) from East Fifth Ave to East Avenue: Motorists can expect the northbound #1 lane closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday (8 a.m. Saturday).  A contractor is scheduled to install guardrails.

State Route 99 (Butte County) from Eaton Road to Cohasset Road: Motorists can expect the southbound #1 lane closed between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday (8 a.m. Saturday).  A contractor is scheduled to install guardrails.

State Route 99 (Sutter County) at Pennington Road: Motorists can expect north/southbound lane restrictions Monday from 6 a.m. and 4 p.m.   A contractor is scheduled to do overhead utility work.

The Caltrans District 3 Traffic Management Branch has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above. 

Lanes are numbered from the center divide (#1) to the shoulder (#2, 3, 4, etc.).
