Grass Valley - The California Department of
Transportation (Caltrans) is alerting motorists that State Highway 20 between
Rough & Ready Highway and Pleasant
Valley Road is scheduled to be closed during the
day, Monday through Thursday, April 21 – 24, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and
4 p.m. A detour will be available. The westbound lanes will be closed Monday and
Tuesday, April 21 & 22, and the eastbound lanes will be closed Wednesday
and Thursday, April 23 & 24.
Westbound
motorists will be detoured at Rough & Ready Highway. Motorists will turn left onto Rough &
Ready Highway and proceed to Penn
Valley Drive.
Motorists will turn right onto Penn
Valley Drive and proceed to Pleasant Valley Road. Motorists will turn right on Pleasant Valley Road
and proceed to State Highway 20.
Westbound motorists will turn left onto State Highway 20 to continue
west.
Eastbound
motorists will be detoured at Pleasant
Valley Road.
Motorists will turn right onto Pleasant
Valley Road and proceed to Penn Valley Drive. Motorists will turn left onto Penn Valley Drive
and proceed to Rough & Ready Highway.
Motorists will turn left onto Rough & Ready Highway and proceed to
State Highway 20. Eastbound motorists
will turn right onto State Highway 20 to continue east.
The closures are necessary so maintenance
workers can do crack sealing. Flaggers will
direct traffic throughout the detour.
The California Highway Patrol will be on hand to help direct traffic.
Motorists can expect minimal
delays and are advised to use caution when traveling through the work area and
detour, and to “Slow For the Cone Zone”.
