
Description
Project is near Elk Grove and proposes to seismically retrofit five bridges: Dillard Road Overcrossing (OC) (Br No 24-0163 PM 7.36), Cosumnes River Overflow (Br No 24-0021R/L PM 7.92), and Cosumnes River (Br No 24-0020R/L PM 8.40). On Dillard Road OC replace non-standard bridge railing, remove asphalt concrete surfacing, place polyester concrete deck overlay, and replace westbound sidewalk. On the left bridges at Cosumnes River Ovfl and Cosumnes River shoulders widen shoulders to conform to adjacent roadway sections, replace concrete approach slabs, replace approach/transition railing, replace non-standard bridge rails, remove asphalt concrete surfacing, and place polyester concrete deck.
Project Benefits
Improvements will decrease structure deterioration and increase life span of the bridges, reduce future maintenance costs and efforts, and improve bridge performance during a seismic event.
