TOWN HILL -The proposed project will add paved shoulders on the westbound side of State Route 36 in the West Susanville area, providing an adequate shoulder width, while improving safety conditions for cyclistsand the traveling public.
State Route 36 and Lassen County Route A1 are the main routes to the south shore of Eagle Lake from Susanville. This project will complete the addition of 4-foot shoulders on State Route 36 from Susanvillie to Lassen County Route A1.

JOHNSTONVILLE - The Johnstonville Project will improve safety and operations along a segment of US Route 395 in Lassen County in the community of Johnstonville.  These improvements will increase motorist’s awareness of the school zone, upgrade pedestrian safety at the Johnstonville Elementary School and enhance traffic operations.

The project will add flashing beacons and traffic signs, highway shoulders, a left turn pocket and a two-way left turn lane.  The project is funded through State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) funds by the Lassen County Transportation Commission.
