Final Draft - 2002 Imperial Coutny Transportation Plan Update Highway Element
WHAT: The Imperial County Association of Governments (IVAG) Regional Council will have a Public Hearing to receive final comments on the Final Draft 2002 Imperial County Transportation Plan Highway Element - prior to its adoption. The public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25, 2002 6:30 p.m., at the Board of Supervisors Chambers 940 West Main Street in El Centro.
The 2002 Imperial County Transportation Plan devotes attention to Imperial County's transportation needs and priorities and is an update to Imperial County's 1997 Transportation Plan. This Plan accounts for changes in land use development, population, and State highway usage, and as well as providing input into SCAG's Regional Transportation Plan.
This update articulates near-term, mid-term, and long-term transportation priorities and projects on Imperial County's Highway Network that were developed through a comprehensive and cooperative planning approach between Imperial County Association of Governments (IVAG), Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), Cities and County of Imperial, California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), and other public and private stakeholders.
