SDG&E Emergency Closure on Interstate 5 Near Camp Pendleton
SAN DIEGO –– Caltrans crews in coordination with San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E) and the California Highway Patrol will perform traffic breaks beginning at 1 a.m. on north and southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) in the vicinity of the Border Patrol Checkpoint near Camp Pendleton.
The breaks are needed to allow SDG&E crews to make repairs to overhead power lines that span all lanes of I-5. Durations and number of traffic breaks will vary as the work progresses.
