Aliso Creek Rest Area Closed Overnight - I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project Work Continues
SAN DIEGO – Construction crews will close the Interstate 5 (I-5) southbound off-ramp to the Aliso Creek Rest Area tonight from 7 to 5 the next morning as part of the I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project to replace pavement between Oceanside and the San Diego-Orange County Line.
Starting Monday, portions of I-5 will be closed to one lane in each direction in sections, Monday-Thursday, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Friday, from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. The closures include the on- and off-ramps at Las Pulgas Road, with intermittent closures of the ramps at Basilone and Cristianitos roads.
Motorists are urged to slow their speeds and be work zone alert! These limits are set for the safety of motorists and highway workers.
The $43 million I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project is expected to be completed in winter 2016. For additional information contact the Caltrans Public Information Office at (619) 688-6670.
