This portion of I-5 will be closed down to one lane in each direction in sections, Monday-Thursday, 7 p.m.to 5 a.m., and Friday and Saturday, 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. The closures include the I-5 northbound and southbound Las Pulgas Road on- and off-ramps. No closures are scheduled for Sunday, April 19.
In addition, the southbound entrance to the Aliso Creek Rest Area will be closed Monday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Changeable Message Signs will be posted in advance of the closure. The nearest services are available in Oceanside.
Motorists are reminded that the maximum speed through a construction zone is 55 mph. These limits are set for the safety of motorists and for the work crews. The California Highway Patrol will be implementing enhanced speed enforcement every Friday night.
