Night Closures on State Route 905
SAN DIEGO –Caltrans announced that two sets of night closures are scheduled on State Route 905 (SR-905) from 9-5 to install sign structures and upgrade sign panels.
Construction crews will close westbound SR-905 on Monday and Tuesday and eastbound SR-905 on Wednesday and Thursday between Siempre Viva Road and La Media Road.
Detour signs will direct commercial trucks and vehicles traveling west from the port of entry to exit onto Siempre Viva Road, then turn left onto eastbound Siempre Viva Road, then turn right onto northbound La Media Road to take the State Route 905 on-ramp.
Travelers on eastbound SR-905 will be detoured onto southbound La Media Road, then eastbound on Siempre Viva Road to the eastbound SR-905 on-ramp.
This work is part of the State Route 11-Otay Mesa East Port of Entry Project which includes building connectors to SR-905 plus a stretch of the new SR-11 highway from SR-905 east to Enrico Fermi Drive. This $121 million portion of the larger project started construction in December and will be completed in late 2015.
