New La Media Road Off-ramp On Westbound State Route 905
SAN DIEGO – Caltrans advices motorists driving on westbound State Route 905 that a new La Media Road off-ramp will open to traffic beginning Wednesday afternoon. The new off-ramp is located about half a mile east of the existing exit which will be permanently closed.
Changeable message signs have been placed alerting motorists about the new exit location.
Drivers who miss the new off-ramp to La Media Road may continue west and exit at Britannia Avenue to Otay Mesa Road and then to La Media Road.
The work is part of the ongoing State Route 11/Otay Mesa East Port of Entry Project which will help relieve traffic congestion and shorten wait times at the Otay Mesa and San Ysidro ports of entry. The cost of Segment One is $112 million. The project will be completed at the end of the year.
Project information is available on the Caltrans website at www.dot.ca.gov/dist11/facts.
