SR-905/Otay Mesa Port of Entry Closure

SAN DIEGO –U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will close all lanes of southbound State Route 905 from just south of the last U.S. exit to the international border on Wednesday and Thursday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The closures are needed to install a framework of trusses above the southbound traffic lanes.  This framework will support signs, inspection and detection technology at the border crossing.

Changeable message signs will notify motorists of the closure. Motorists travelling to Mexico are directed to use either the Tecate or San Ysidro Port of Entry. There will be no impacts to northbound traffic.

For more information contact, CBP Public Information Officer Jacqueline Wasiluk at (619) 744-5245 or via e-mail at jacqueline.e.wasiluk@cbp.dhs.gov
