I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project Work Schedule

SAN DIEGO –The Interstate 5 (I-5) Ocean View Rehab Project will continue Monday night, between Oceanside and the San Diego-Orange County line.

Crews will work in two-mile sections, closing three of the four highway lanes between the Aliso Creek Rest Area and the San Diego-Orange County line Monday through Thursday, 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closures include the I-5 northbound and southbound Las Pulgas Road on- and off-ramps.  No closures are scheduled from Friday, Feb. 13 - Monday, Feb.16.

Motorists are being advised of a planned closure of the southbound entrance to the Aliso Creek Rest Area. Closures on Wednesday, Feb. 25 and Thursday, Feb. 26 are from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and on Friday, Feb. 27 from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. Changeable Message Signs will be posted in advance of the closure.  The nearest services are available are in Oceanside.

Motorists are reminded that the maximum speed through this construction zone is 55 mph. These limits are set for the safety of motorists and the men and women working adjacent to traffic. 

The $43 million I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project is expected to be completed in fall 2015.
