Southbound I-805 Closures in Golden Triangle
SAN DIEGO – Caltrans reported that southbound Interstate 805 (I-805) from the Interstate 5 (I-5)/I-805 merge to La Jolla Village Drive/Miramar Road will be closed Tuesday–Thursday from 9:30 p.m.-5 a.m.
The closures are needed for bridge widening work of the I-805 in Carroll Canyon as part of the I-805 North Express Lanes Project.
Detour signs will be posted directing motorists to southbound I-5, to eastbound State Route 52 (SR-52) to northbound or southbound I-805.
Stage 1 of the I-805 North Express Lanes Project is constructing one carpool lane in each direction in the median of I-805 from just north of SR-52 to just north of Mira Mesa Boulevard. The project also includes construction of a Direct Access Ramp to and from southbound I-805 at Carroll Canyon Road. Additional improvements include bridge widening and ramp modifications.
