I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project Work Schedule

SAN DIEGO –The Interstate 5 (I-5) Ocean View Rehab Project will continue Monday night, between Oceanside and the San Diego-Orange County Line.

Crews will work in two-mile sections, closing three of the four highway lanes between the Aliso Creek Rest Area and the San Diego-Orange County line Monday through Thursday, 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., on Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. The closures include the I-5 northbound and southbound Las Pulgas Road on- and off-ramps.  No closures are scheduled for Sunday, Feb.8.

Motorists are reminded that the maximum speed through a construction zone is 55 mph. These limits are set for the safety of motorists and the men and women working adjacent to traffic.

The $43 million I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project is expected to be completed in winter 2016.  Motorists should expect delays during work hours and it is suggested they check Caltrans Quick Map online at quickmap.dot.ca.gov for the latest freeway traffic information before leaving home.

This Ocean View Rehab Project is not part of to the I-5 North Coast Corridor Program.  For additional information contact the Caltrans Public Information Office at (619) 688-6670.
