I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project Work Schedule
SAN DIEGO ––
Interstate 5 (I-5) Ocean View Rehab Project construction will resume Sunday night to replace portions of the highway shoulder between Oceanside and Orange County.
Lane closures will take place, Sunday -Thursday, 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. The highway will be reduced to one lane in each direction after 11 p.m. The closures include the on- and off-ramps at Las Pulgas Road, with intermittent closures of the ramps at Basilone and Cristianitos roads.
Motorists have the option of taking Interstate 15 to bypass potential congestion on I-5.
The maximum speed through a construction zone is 55 mph. These limits are set for the safety of motorists and for the work crews.
The $43 million I-5 Ocean View Rehab Project is expected to be completed in spring 2016. Motorists should expect delays during work hours and it is suggested they check Caltrans Quick Map online at quickmap.dot.ca.gov for the latest freeway traffic information before leaving home.
Real-time camera are placed throughout the project to view the work and current highway conditions at: http://sandiegocctvpros.com/san-diego-live-traffic-camera-site-1/
