Northbound I-805 Closure On Wednesday Night
SAN DIEGO –– Caltrans advises motorists that northbound Interstate 805 (I-805) from Nobel Drive to Mira Mesa Boulevard will be closed Wednesday from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closure is needed for widening northbound I-805.
Signs will be posted detouring northbound I-805 motorists to westbound State Route 52 (SR-52) and then to northbound Interstate 5. Local traffic will be allowed to exit at Governor Drive and Nobel Drive.
Stage 1 of the I-805 North Express Lanes Project will construct one carpool lane in each direction in the median of I-805 from SR-52 to Mira Mesa Boulevard. The project also includes construction of a Direct Access Ramp to and from southbound I-805 at Carroll Canyon Road. Additional improvements include bridge widening and ramp modifications. This stage is estimated to cost $86 million.
