Lane Closures Planned For SR-905
SAN DIEGO – State Route 905 (SR-905) will be narrowed to one lane in each direction shortly after midnight to 4 p.m. this Wednesday and Thursday. These 16-hour lane closures will take place between Siempre Viva and La Media roads, according to Caltrans. In addition, the eastbound La Media on- and off-ramps will be closed. The closures are needed for striping and concrete barrier placement.
The work is part of Segment One of the SR-11/Otay Mesa East Port of Entry Project, which will help relieve traffic congestion and shorten wait times at the Otay Mesa and San Ysidro Ports of Entry. The cost of Segment One is $112 million and is expected to be completed in 2015.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and safely move over a lane when Caltrans or other emergency vehicles are displaying flashing amber lights. It’s the law!
