No Bicycle Access to Camp Pendleton Saturday Morning

SAN DIEGO – Bicyclists will not have access to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton between Harbor Drive and Las Pulgas Road Saturday morning from 5 until noon while an on-base event takes place.

According to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the shoulders along Interstate 5 between Harbor Drive and Las Pulgas Road are open to bicyclists and can be used as an alternate route. It is recommended that only expert riders use freeway shoulder routes.
