Caltrans will host its 2012 State of Transportation event, featuring regional transportation experts providing information about highway and transit improvements for the coming year. Topics will include the status of major projects as well as behind-the-scenes challenges. This event is designed to provide members of the media with an opportunity to meet and interview agency officials and project managers and to obtain fact sheets, maps and other collateral materials to use as resources throughout the year.

Agency representatives will make brief statements and will then be available for individual interviews. The event will also introduce Caltrans' 2012 Major Construction Map.
A staff member will be available for interviews in Spanish.
