Caltrans Unveils Transportation Info On Twitter Starting Monday
SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in San Diego announced that it is joining the age of social media by offering transportation information for people who use Twitter.
Starting on Monday, Caltrans will offer its “followers” on Twitter timely “Tweets” on highway closure information – both planned construction and maintenance closures and incidents expected to create lengthy traffic delays in the San Diego Region. The service will initially be available weekdays, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and in the event of after-hours highway emergencies.
