SR-163 Connector to I-8 Closed Saturday Morning

SAN DIEGO – The connector ramp from northbound State Route 163 (SR-163) to westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) will be closed this Saturday morning from 3 until 9.  According to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), highway maintenance crews will close the ramp to repair guardrail.

Motorists traveling northbound on SR-163 will be detoured to continue northbound on SR-163, exit at westbound Friars Road, cross over the freeway and take southbound SR-163 to westbound I-8.  

Changeable Message Signs will be placed to advise motorists of the work and detour signs will assist motorists around the closure.
