Two Lanes of SR-163 Closed for Night Work
SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation will close two lanes of State Route 163 near the Interstate 15 interchange Sunday and Monday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
On Sunday construction crews will close the northbound number three and four lanes. On Monday crews will close the southbound number one and two lanes. Traffic cones and arrow boards will be used in advance of the lane closures to tapper traffic into the two lanes that will remain open.
The closures are needed for routine pavement work and guardrail repairs.
If you see a Caltrans or other emergency vehicle on the side of the highway with its flashing light, move over if safe to do so, or slow down. It’s the law!
