Southbound Ramps at Old Highway 395 to I-15 Closed for the Weekend

SAN DIEGO – The southbound on- and off-ramps at Old Highway 395 to Interstate 15 (I-15) will be closed this weekend starting today at 9 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m. The California Department of Transportation is replacing the concrete slabs on the number three lane of I-15 from Old Highway 395 to State Route 76 (SR-76).

This work also requires the closure of the number three and four lanes, or the two far right lanes, of southbound I-15 between Old Highway 395 and SR-76. The number one and two lanes, or the far left lanes, will remain open.

Changeable Message Signs will be posted before SR-76 to alert motorists of the closed Old Highway 395 off-ramp. Motorists on Old Highway 395 will be detoured north on I-15 to SR-76 then back on southbound I-15.

The number three lane is used heavily by commercial truck traffic in this area and needs to be replaced more often than the other three lanes.

Crews are working to make the highway safe for all vehicles, give them the same courtesy and slow down and move over when entering a highway work zone. It’s the law!
