Move Over Law

WHAT: Officials from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) will hold a news conference to discuss the Move Over law and its Public Awareness Campaign.

WHY: Caltrans is launching a campaign to help educate the public about the Move Over law, which requires motorists when they see Caltrans trucks with flashing amber lights or other emergency vehicles with flashing lights, to move over a lane, when safe.

VISUALS: Display of billboard scheduled to be up in the San Diego area on July 25. A Caltrans Maintenance Workers will be available for interviews to talk about close calls working on the freeway.
