Night Work Continues on I-5 South Bay On- and Off Ramps

SAN DIEGO – Work continues on several on- and off-ramps on Interstate 5 (I-5) in the South Bay area next week. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be working nightly Monday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Crews will close ramps in both the northbound and southbound direction between Camino De la Plaza in the community of San Ysidro and 24th Street in National City.

Connector ramps from southbound I-5 to and from east/westbound State Route 905 will also be closed but not all at the same time. In addition, the northbound I-5 to eastbound State Route 54 (SR-54) and westbound SR-54 to northbound I-5 connector ramps will also be closed.

There is also potential for two consecutive on- and off-ramps to be closed on southbound I-5 between E, H and J streets.
