Night Work on South Bay On- and Off-ramps

SAN DIEGO – Several on- and off-ramps on Interstates 5 and 805 in the South Bay area will be close for night work beginning Monday, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).  Crews will close ramps in both the northbound and southbound direction between Camino De la Plaza in the community of San Ysidro and 24th Street in National City Monday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to
5 a.m.

Work includes the closure of the following connector ramps:
Northbound Interstate 5 (I-5) to eastbound State Route 54;
Eastbound State Route 905 (SR-905) to southbound I-5; and
Southbound I-5 to eastbound SR-905.

There is potential that two consecutive on- and off-ramps closures at Palomar and Main streets as well as J and H streets. Changeable Message Signs will be placed when there are two consecutive ramps closed.

Motorists will be detoured to the next available ramp.
