Night Closures Scheduled for Interstate 8 in El Cajon
SAN DIEGO – Construction crews will close the right-hand lane on westbound Interstate 8 between Second Street and Greenfield Avenue this Sunday and Monday from 9 until 5 in the morning. According to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), the westbound Second Street off-ramp will also be closed intermittently.
Signs will be placed to alert motorists of the closures.
The work is part of the $9.5 million Reduce the Wait on I-8 Project that is scheduled to be complete in late 2012.
