Birmingham Drive On-ramp Closed for Weekend Work

SAN DIEGO – Weekend work is scheduled for the northbound Interstate 5 on-ramp at Birmingham Drive in Encinitas, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).  The on-ramp will close Friday night at 9 and reopen Monday morning at 5.

Motorists will be detoured north to Villa Cardiff Drive then merge onto Mackinnon Avenue then left onto Santa Fe Drive to the northbound I-5 on-ramp.  Detour signs will be placed to assist motorists around the closure.
