Northbound Interstate 15 Closed at Poway Road/Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard Bridge
SAN DIEGO – Construction will continue Tuesday night on the Poway Road/Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard bridge over Interstate 15 (I-15), requiring the closure of northbound I-15 in the area from 11:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
Motorists traveling north on I-15 will be detoured to east on Poway Road to north on Sabre Springs Parkway to west on Ted Williams Parkway onto northbound I-15. Detour signs will be posted to direct motorists around the closure.
The Poway Road/Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard bridge over I-15 will also be closed on Tuesday beginning at 8 p.m. and reopening at 5 a.m. Motorists traveling west on Poway Road will be detoured north on I-15 to west on State Route 56 to south on I-15 onto westbound Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard. Motorists traveling east on Rancho Peñasquitos Boulevard will be detoured south on I-15 to east on Mercy Road to north on I-15 onto eastbound Poway Road. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists.
