Night Closures Scheduled for SR-67

SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation has scheduled full freeway closures in the northbound and southbound directions on State Route 67 starting next week. Detour signs will be posted to assist motorist around the closure. On Tuesday morning between 2 – 5 the highway will be closed in the southbound direction between Woodside and Prospect avenues along with the southbound Magnolia Avenue on-ramp. On Thursday evening the highway will be closed in the northbound direction starting at 11 between Woodside and Prospect avenues along with the Bradley Avenue and Prospect Avenue on-ramps. The highway will reopen at 5 a.m. the following morning.

On Thursday evening both the northbound and southbound lanes will be closed between Woodside and Prospect avenues. At 9 p.m. the southbound lanes will close then at 11 p.m. the northbound lanes will close. Crews will close the southbound Magnolia on-ramp at 8 p.m. and the northbound Prospect Avenue and Bradley Avenue on-ramps at 11 p.m. Also on Thursday evening Prospect Avenue will close between Graves and Magnolia avenues starting at 9. Crews expect to have all the lanes and streets reopen at 5 the following morning

The work is part of the State Route 52 Sunny Side Gateway project scheduled to be completed by spring 2011.
