Full Closure on State Route 111 for Construction

BRAWLEY – A quarter-mile section of State Route 111 (SR-111) will be closed just south of Shank Road, Tuesday through Thursday from 10 p.m. – 8 a.m., according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).

Crews will be placing falsework for bridge construction as part of the ongoing SR-78/SR-111 Brawley Bypass Project.

Detour signs will be in place to direct southbound SR-111 motorists to turn left at Shank Road, right at Best Road and back onto SR-111. Motorists can access northbound SR-11 by heading north on Best Road, left on Shank Road and then to SR-111.
