Carroll Canyon Road and Southbound Interstate 15 Ramps Closed for the Weekend
SAN DIEGO –
Eastbound and westbound Carroll Canyon Road at Interstate15 (I-15) will be closed starting Friday at 10 p.m. and reopening for the Monday morning commute at 5 a.m., according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
This closure will allow construction crews to complete the relocation of a water main line as part of the ongoing I-15 Express Lanes Project. Motorists traveling east on Carroll Canyon Road will be detoured to north on Black Mountain Road to east on Mira Mesa Boulevard to south on Scripps Ranch Boulevard onto Carroll Canyon Road. Motorists traveling west on Carroll Canyon Road will be detoured to north on Scripps Ranch Boulevard to west on Mira Mesa Boulevard to south on Black Mountain Road onto westbound Carroll Canyon Road.
The southbound I-15 on and off-ramps at Carroll Canyon Road will also be closed during this time. Motorists traveling to I-15 south from Carroll Canyon Road will access the freeway at Mira Mesa Boulevard. Motorists traveling to Carroll Canyon Road from I-15 south will exit the freeway at Mira Mesa Boulevard. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists.
