Northbound I-15 Closed Early Monday at Carroll Canyon Road, Reopened for Morning Commute
SAN DIEGO –
Northbound Interstate 15 (I-15) will be closed at Carroll Canyon Road from midnight-5 on Monday morning, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
This closure will allow construction crews to demolish the Carroll Canyon Road Bridge over I-15. Motorists traveling north on I-15 will be detoured around the bridge by exiting at the Carroll Canyon Road off-ramp and crossing Carroll Canyon Road onto northbound I-15.
Carroll Canyon Road at I-15 will also be closed during this time. Motorists traveling east on Carroll Canyon Road will be detoured to north on Black Mountain Road to east on Mira Mesa Boulevard to south on Scripps Ranch Boulevard onto Carroll Canyon Road. Motorists traveling west on Carroll Canyon Road will be detoured to north on Scripps Ranch Boulevard to west on Mira Mesa Boulevard to south on Black Mountain Road onto Carroll Canyon Road. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists.
The demolition may cause noise in the surrounding areas, but must be done at night in order to minimize disruptions to traffic. For more information on the I-15 Express Lanes project, call the project information hotline at (866) 890-1397 or log-on to www.KeepSanDiegoMoving.com.
