Interstate 15 Set for Closure at Carroll Canyon Road
SAN DIEGO –
Demolition on the Carroll Canyon Road Bridge over Interstate 15 (I-15) will begin on Monday requiring the closure of the freeway in the area from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for approximately ten nights, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
Motorists traveling north on I-15 will be detoured around the bridge by exiting at the Carroll Canyon Road off-ramp and crossing Carroll Canyon Road onto northbound I-15. Motorists traveling south on I-15 will be detoured around the bridge by exiting at the Carroll Canyon Road off-ramp and crossing Carroll Canyon Road onto southbound I-15.
Carroll Canyon Road at I-15 will also be closed during this time. Motorists traveling east on Carroll Canyon Road will be detoured to north on Black Mountain Road to east on Mira Mesa Boulevard to south on Scripps Ranch Boulevard onto Carroll Canyon Road. Motorists traveling west on Carroll Canyon Road will be detoured to north on Scripps Ranch Boulevard to west on Mira Mesa Boulevard to south on Black Mountain Road onto Carroll Canyon Road. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists.
