Magnolia Avenue On-ramp Opens on Southbound State Route 67

SAN DIEGO – California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced that the Magnolia Avenue on-ramp to southbound State Route 67 will open Tuesday morning to commuters.  This new on-ramp will replace freeway access from Prospect Avenue, which will be permanently closed beginning the same day.

These changes are part of the SR-52/Sunny Side Gateway Project east segment.  Construction continues on all three segments of the project to extend SR-52 from SR-125 to SR-67 in Santee.  The project is expected to be completed in 2010.

Caltrans reminds motorists to drive cautiously and watch for highway workers in construction areas.
