Dips on Westbound SR-52 to be Repaired
SAN DIEGO –Work to repair the dips on westbound State Route 52 (SR-52) begins this weekend, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). There will be no access to westbound SR-52 during daylight hours between Interstate 805 and SR-163 Saturday and Sunday. Both days the lanes will close at 6 a.m. and reopen at 6 p.m.
Access to the Miramar Landfill from the freeway will be available from the eastbound direction only. The SR-163 ramps to westbound SR-52 will be closed, along with the westbound ramps from SR-52 at Convoy Street and Genesee Avenue.
Signs are in place to alert motorists of the closure. Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time and seek alternative routes.
