Eastbound SR-52 near Landfill Closed this Weekend

SAN DIEGO –Work to repair the dips on eastbound State Route 52 (SR-52) continues this weekend, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). There will be no access to eastbound SR-52 during daylight hours between Interstate 805 and SR-163 Saturday and Sunday. Both days the lanes will close at 5 a.m. and reopen at 6 p.m.

Access to the Miramar Landfill from the freeway will be available from the westbound direction only. The I-805 ramps to eastbound SR-52 will be closed, along with the eastbound ramps from SR-52 at Convoy Street and Genesee Avenue.

Weather permitting, work to repair the dips on westbound SR-52 will begin Saturday, Feb. 7 and operate on the same schedule.

Signs are in place to alert motorists of the closure. Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time and seek alternative routes.
