Traffic Break Early Sunday Morning for Controlled Blast on Interstate 15
SAN DIEGO – On Sunday between approximately 6 and 6:15 a.m. construction crews will perform a controlled blast on Interstate 15 (I-15) at the slope adjacent to the Mercy Road southbound on-ramp, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
As a safety precaution, the freeway including the Express Lanes will be completely closed in both directions between Mercy Road and Mira Mesa Boulevard for approximately five minutes. Detour signs will be posted in the event of a delay.
