WHO: California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District Director Pedro Orso-Delgado, San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) Director of Mobility, Management and Project Implementation Jack Boda, Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) Chief Executive Officer Paul Jablonski, North County Transit District (NCTD) Board Chair Karen King, and South Bay Expressway Director of Operations Terri Argabright.

WHAT: Caltrans will host its Annual Transportation Update, featuring regional transportation experts forecasting highway and transit improvements for 2008. This event is designed to give editors, columnists, reporters and photographers a chance to meet/interview the agency officials and the senior managers for each project. There will also be a variety of project fact sheets, maps and other collateral materials to use as background throughout the year.

WHEN: Tuesday, Feb. 26, starting at 10:30 a.m.

WHERE: The Caltrans District Office, 4050 Taylor St., San Diego, 92110 (Thomas Guide Page 1268, F-4), in the Gallegos Room.

OPPORTUNITY:

Agency representatives will each give a brief presentation, and will then be available for individual interviews. The event will also feature the unveiling of the 2008 Construction Map. It will feature major transportation projects to break ground this year, including the State Route 905, State Route 52 Sunny Side Gateway Project and the Interstate 15 Managed Lanes South Project. This event will also feature updates on the South Bay Expressway (SR-125 South) and the NCTD Sprinter. NOTE: Special media parking will be reserved on the west side, in front of the main building.
